Map is avoiding highways on my directions. "Avoid Highways

Support.google.comBut maps keeps coming up with all these weird routes that seem to be avoiding highways and the most direct/fastest routes. It is doing this with all the addresses I put in. If you look at the attached mapthe 2 routes it recommends are out of the way and take longer.
